AI-powered proctoring features will prevent impersonation and cheating, and helps in fair evaluation of grades.
The following content is available for AI proctoring:

Steps

01. Go to Manage users

Go to "Manage contents" and click the gear icon > "Proctoring"

02. Create a new template

Click on "+ Create new."

03. Detailed settings

Enter a template name.

Set the following three items.

1. Facial authentication

Register a learner's profile picture in advance, and AI will recognize the learner before the exam.
To use this service, tick the box of "Use Pre-facial authentication."
*For facial recognition, photo registration of users is required.
To register a photo, refer to  Account sign-up settings.

▼ Match rates of facial recognition
It refers to the degree to which an image can be correctly recognized as to who is in the image.
AI compares two images and recognizes the learner based on the match rates.
*The default value is 70%.

▼Conditions of suspicious behaviors
The limit of facial authentication failure can be set.

When suspicious behaviors are detected
You can choose whether or not to allow learners to continue taking the course if they are suspected of cheating by facial authentication.

2. Browser proctoring

Exams can be terminated by displaying a warning if the learner exits full screen, moves a tab or browser, or move the pointer to a different monitor during the exam.
To use this function, tick "Show a warning when suspicious behaviors detected."

You can set the maximum number of browser monitoring for proctoring.

When suspicious behaviors are detected
When the suspicious behaviors are detected on the browser monitoring, you can choose whether or not to continue or terminate the exam.

3. Photo capturing during the exam

Students' behaviors can be captured during the exam.
You can select when to capture images as follows:
*You may select both items.

  • Capture randomly
  • Capture when a warning is issued

Students' behaviors and captured photos during the exam will be stored in the "Proctor report."

Note

Facial authentication and photo capturing require a Standard or higher plan.

Note

The following items are only available for PCs and laptops.

  • Browser Monitoring
  • Photo capturing during the exam > "Capture a photo when a warning is displayed."

*Disactivate the automatic approval on smartphones or tablet devices.

04. Apply to content
Apply the settings made in Step 03 to content.
Select the Application to content tab.
Tick the content you wish to apply and save.

Note

For content to which anti-fraud measures have been applied, the course limit is automatically set to "one time" and cannot be changed.

Note

Please note that if you change the version of each generator to a version outside the terms of use of the fraud countermeasure, the fraud countermeasure will no longer apply.

05. List of templates

The list shows the items, number of content applied and last update.
*"Number of content" will be updated when the template is applied to the content.

06. Edit/Duplicate/Delete template

You can edit, duplicate and delete from the following three icons in the red frame.
You can also use the "Refine" button to search for the desired template by "keyword/setting item/last modified date".

Note 5.

・To edit the templates in this page, the management role of Content manager (Edit) is required.
・Only the content assigned to the Content manager can be selected.

07. Batch duplicate/delete templates

After ticking the target template, batch duplication/deletion can be performed from the pull-down menu under "Collectively operate the currently selected items".

If the full screen is released, moved to another tab or another browser, or the mouse pointer is moved to another monitor during the test, a warning will be displayed.
